České Petrovice

Mountain village on the banks of stream Orlička. The altitude is from 600 to 650 m. The village originated in 16th century and first inhabitants were woodcutters. There is interesting building of village-church. Near the České Petrovice you can see the chapel from the year 1821 on the top of hill Adam. Beatutiful view is from there. In the region of village there are about 13 infantry concrete blockhouses and many other small-forts, rests of border fortification. Near the Petrovice there is also the large hard-fort Adam from the same era.
